Synthēsis is a peer-reviewed, diamond open-access journal publishing concise, transparent, and reproducible evidence syntheses across all areas of medicine. Articles appear continuously online and are compiled into monthly issues. There are no fees for authors and no fees for readers; every article is licensed under CC BY 4.0 with author copyright retained.

The journal's encouraged default format is the E156 micro-publication: a 156-word abstract-as-paper accompanied by an evidence capsule (open code, cleaned data, tests, dashboard, and a Zenodo-archived release), badged bronze, silver, or gold for reproducibility. Long-form methods notes, narrative reviews, case-based teaching, editorials, viewpoints, and debate pieces are equally welcome.

Synthēsis adheres to the recommendations of ICMJE, COPE, and WAME. ISSN application is in preparation; PubMed Central, DOAJ, Scopus, and Web of Science inclusion are actively being pursued.
