Announcements

Synthesis invites submissions for short-format meta-analyses across all areas of medicine.
Each paper should present a clear, reproducible synthesis of existing evidence on a well-defined clinical, diagnostic, or prognostic question.

The journal's compact formats are the E156 Research Letter (156-word main text) and the E468 Short Report (468-word main text), alongside full-length Original Research and meta-analyses. Submissions should include, where applicable:

  • A pre-registered protocol (PROSPERO or OSF)

  • Full PRISMA 2020 flow diagram

  • Risk of bias assessment (RoB 2 or ROBINS-I)

  • GRADE summary of evidence

  • Open data and analysis code with DOIs

Accepted papers are published Open Access under the CC BY 4.0 licence.
Submissions are open year-round.
